I thought it would be fun to make a "resume" post.

Elizabeth Baer - Birth Doula

As a birth doula, I serve families in the prenatal period, during labor and birth, and in the postpartum period. I provide assistance with birth planning, support through childbirth, and help with breastfeeding and adjusting to parenthood.

Life Experience

• 2000- Natural childbirth in the hospital with a nurse midwife
• 2003- Water birth in a freestanding birth center
• 2005- Water birth in a freestanding birth center
• 2007- Home birth with a CPM

• Birth Doula, March 2010-Present
• WIC Breastfeeding Peer Counselor from 2002-2005
• Worked with Baltimore AP group from 2003-2010

Education and Training

• Saw Diane Weissinger speak in 2003
• Took Bradley childbirth class series in 2003
• Attended numerous LLL conferences from 2002-2008
• Took DONA Birth Doula training in 2010
• Attended "The Baby's Experience at Birth" with midwife Karen Strange in May 2010
